Lori Harris is a woman on a mission. Lori grew up as a Pentecostal pastor’s daughter in Texas, has a background in the business world, managing at Safeway Foods, has always been a leader in whatever she does. In the early 80’s she dropped her career to connect with the global ministry Youth With a Mission.
After getting married and while raising a family Lori was a featured speaker at homeschool & Christian conferences in the US and abroad. Lori loves to write, is never afraid to speak up, either at a meeting or to teach. She believes in being healthy, birthing and raising your children naturally, she is pro-life.
Lori and her husband moved back to Texas in 2004 where they soon became Catholic and re-joined “YWAM,” forming Kerygma Texas. Lori attends two churches every Sunday, both Catholic and Protestant as her ministry Kerygma is all about unity in the body of Christ.
The Lord moved this non-profit ministry and the Harris’ back to California again, in 2017 to the college town of Chico.
Twice a week these days Lori and her husband Alan host a dinner with either a Bible study or video discussion group for adults and young adults. In between she is non-stop learning about current issues in America, keeping up with her 7 grown children out of state and the 7 grandchildren between them, attending prayer meetings, loving on many young adults across the country who consider her “Mama Lori.” Over all of this is a passion to proclaim the Gospel to all people by all means possible.
